Our primary Git hosting server is in Falkenstein, Germany. The backup and recovery server is in Nuremberg, Germany. All NobGit hosting databases are located in Germany.
Automated backups are separate from the backup and recovery server and are charged at 20% of each server’s price.

What does NobGit Organization do?
NobGit provides independent Git hosting with privacy at its core. Our priorities are community-focused development, reliable infrastructure, and responsible long-term operation.
Can I contribute once or regularly?
One-time and recurring contributions are planned. Contributions will open after the necessary arrangements are in place.
Will my contribution history be private?
Yes. The planned contributor account area will require authentication and show each contributor only their own records. We will not publish contributor identities, individual payments, or transaction histories.
How much does it cost to run NobGit?
Dedicated hosting costs €25.23 per month including 25% Swedish VAT, covering two servers, automated backups, and IPv4 addresses. Separately, the shared middleware and email server costs €5.61 per month including VAT at its full server cost and also serves other projects. Domain renewals are 217.86 SEK per year. Planned Shopify Basic annual billing is 3,228 SEK per year including VAT. Shopify and domains together are budgeted at 3,445.86 SEK per year. We keep EUR and SEK separate.

The planned contribution model will support infrastructure, maintenance, security, and continued development. We will publish actual spending once the platform is operational.
